Appearance

Persephone is a petite and curvy young woman with pink skin, pink eyes, and dark pink hair. She has been described as extremely beautiful, even rivaling Aphrodite in various circumstances. Her hair, which dissolves into flower petals when cut, is connected to her emotional state -- growing abnormally fast in moments of extreme stress or excitement. She can control the length of her hair when calm but prefers to keep her hair cut short into a pixie cut or rolled into space buns. When sufficiently angry, the sclera of her eyes turns blood red.

A halo of flowers will often appear on her head when she is feeling certain emotions, such as love or happiness. When angry, this usually becomes a crown of red thorns. It appears that different species of flowers represent different emotions.

Her wardrobe consists largely of white, pastel, or light colors, although recently has begun to include shades of green as well.

In an image produced by the Fates in Episode 75, she is shown as the future Queen of the Underworld and has long hair, red eyes, a large black crown, long black earrings, and a black gown.

Personality

Persephone is a sweet and innocent young adult, learning how to live on her own on Olympus. At the start of the story, she hadn't experienced much of Olympus itself due to her over-protective mother, Demeter. Due to her naivety, she is often prone to trouble because other Gods and Goddesses take advantage of her. Persephone, at times, can lack confidence in herself, not knowing if the path her mother has chosen for her is the right one.

She loves animals, baking, nature and is extremely friendly and outgoing. She can be best described as an optimist, always seeing things for what they could be. Despite her inexperience with much of the world, Persephone demonstrates intelligence by showing a great deal of academic prowess and proficiency in different activities, including chess and competitive swimming.

Despite her innocent aura, there is a particularly darker side to Persephone's personality. She is capable of expressing rightful hatred towards someone who has done her wrong, such as Apollo, whom she utterly loathes for forcing himself on her. In addition, when grabbed by a disguised Hera posing as a journalist, she briefly lost her temper and tightly grabbed her back in anger (on account of being repeatedly grabbed by Apollo, Thanatos, and a shade in Tartarus respectively in the span of one day.) Ares claims that next to Hera, Persephone is the "angriest of the gods." Another example is that upon realizing that she was deceived by Ares, she was so outraged at being taken advantage of that she called on her mother. Demeter proceeded to beat the war god with a pitchfork, with Persephone grinning with devious glee. The most notable example of Persephone's capability for wrath is the reason why her name has become "Persephone," meaning "Bringer of Death." Upon witnessing her nymph companion's deaths at the hands of a group of disrespectful and rude mortals, Persephone had tried to ask them to stop, but she was pushed and mocked by them, doubting her abilities as a deity, calling her as a "minor goddess". The sorrow and trauma unleashed the "feeling" causing her to lose consciousness and murder the mortal. Resulting in an emotional instability, stemming from a panic attack and resulting in physical changes.

Persephone appears to greatly regret this event, however. She seeks out Hades to ask him if mortals can be brought back from the dead, citing that they have family that misses them. She shows greater empathy for their plight than the majority of the other Gods, as Hades explains that mortals are "a dime a dozen." Persephone even sneaks on the shores of Acheron to give the waiting shades enough money to cross the river into the Underworld. When Hades later admonishes her for this, she argues with him about his cruel system.

Background

A Pink Thumb

Persephone was created solely by her mother 19 years before the start of the story.[3] Demeter saw Zeus as a morally corrupt ruler and decided it would be best to raise her daughter in the Mortal Realm, away from Olympus.[4]

Born Kore, the young goddess spent much of her life in the Mortal Realm, with the company of her mother and the nymphs that worked for her. As a child, Kore created two flower nymphs in a special garden dedicated to flower nymph restoration. Becoming her "first friends," the two nymphs later began to act as Kore's handmaidens. The three became very close, however, Demeter was overprotective to the point that she would only allow Persephone to leave home with them accompanying her. Due to this, Kore often felt frustrated by them following her around.

Representation of Persephone's "feeling."

Persephone explains that she was created to be the Goddess of Spring, and initially loved her role and the tasks that came with it. However, Persephone explains that she was also born with a "feeling," represented by sinister yellow eyes in shadow. As she grew older, the "feeling" became harder and harder to ignore, and her mother would frequently begin to hide her away. At a certain point, Kore rebelled and created her own version of spring without Demeter's permission. Her unauthorized rendition got her in trouble, and in an attempt to control and distract her, Demeter pushed Kore to begin a number of lessons and hobbies. At another point, Kore's nymph handmaidens alerted her to the presence of a God injured in the woods. Dismissing their desire to accompany her, Kore went into the forest alone, where she found the God Ares impaled on a tree. After unknowingly healing his wounds, Ares would follow Kore into the meadow where she was reading alone. Playing on her empathetic nature, Ares convinced Kore to help him learn to read and write, which was in truth a ploy to seduce her. When the two eventually kissed, Kore discovered the planner in Ares' bag, quickly finding out he could in fact read and write. Infuriated over being taken advantage of, Kore called for her mother, who quickly restrained and punished Ares. Despite Kore's initial smugness over this, Demeter would then further restrict her alone time. Kore quickly became frustrated over her overprotective mother, leading to a desire to live on her own and become more than what she saw as a "stupid village girl".

When Kore decided to go to college, she wanted to attend the university on Olympus. Demeter took this opportunity to have Kore earn a scholarship through The Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood, intending to later have her join. Kore and Demeter met with the current members, where Demeter pushed her desire to have Persephone commute to college. Artemis, one of the TGOEM members, realized Kore's hesitance with the situation, and offered to have Persephone live with her on Olympus. After arguing with Demeter, the two left, but not before Kore showed her appreciation by adorning Artemis with a flower crown.

The Bringer of Death

The "feeling" taking over.

Kore reluctantly began to come to terms with commuting to college, although she was clearly displeased. After an intense argument with Demeter, Kore went to be alone and was quickly accompanied by her nymph handmaidens. As she was about to angrily tell them to go away, she witnessed their sudden deaths. Shaken and filled with grief, Kore quickly found the mortals who had killed her friends; the group was plucking sacred flowers from the garden despite a treaty to stay away from it. Although initially it was believed Persephone took vengeance on the mortals, carving a path of destruction through their settlement with glee, in truth Persephone lost control of her powers. The "feeling" took over after the mortals ignored her pleas to stop and began to taunt her, causing her to decapitate one of them. Realizing what she had just done, Kore was consumed with horror at her actions and uncontrollably grew to Titan-level size. She began to destroy her surroundings, unable to control her powers or evacuate the mortals. This event would cause her name to be changed from "Kore" (The Maiden) to "Persephone" (Bringer of Death). Demeter performed damage control, keeping the incident under wraps by buying Hermes' silence. Realizing she could not control her daughter, Demeter reluctantly allowed Persephone to move to Olympus to live with Artemis, although Artemis was unaware why she had changed her mind so suddenly.

Before moving to Olympus, Persephone spent the remainder of the year with her mother and Hecate, a goddess from the Underworld, who Persephone became friends with while the former studied poisonous plants in the Mortal Realm. One night, after overhearing Hecate tell Demeter that Hades, the King of the Underworld, came to visit her, Persephone snuck off to find him, believing he could help her.

Persephone finds the King of the Underworld, intoxicated in a separate room, and transforms into a butterfly so she does not startle him. Hades, realizing right away that Persephone is not an actual butterfly, decides to have some fun with her by frightening her. Persephone is frightened badly enough that she returns to her normal form and lands on top of him with only dissolved butterflies covering her. The two then have an exchange, during which Persephone desperately inquires as to whether Hades can return mortals from the dead. Hades responds that he cannot, and Persephone continues to plead with him before ultimately fleeing when she hears Demeter coming. Hades would not remember this encounter as Demeter, protective of her daughter, makes Hades drink more alcohol to ensure he forget meeting her.

Lore

Tickled Pink

While Persephone attends a party with Artemis, Aphrodite overhears Hades commenting on Persephone's beauty and is infuriated. Aphrodite decides to pull a prank on Hades and orders her son, Eros, to distract Artemis and get Persephone drunk. The gods put the unconscious Persephone into Hades' car, unbeknownst to Hades, and she later wakes up in Hades' mansion. After wandering Hades' mansion, Persephone encounters one of Hades' dogs: Cerberus. While initially hostile toward her, Persephone is able to tame the gatekeeper of the Underworld after playfully petting him, much to the surprise and envy of Hades, who arrived just before he could intervene to protect her.

After scolding Cerberus, Hades helps Persephone off the ground which makes her spawn a crown of blue flowers, which embarrasses her. Persephone asks Hades if he has something she could borrow, as she is unused to the chill of the Underworld. Hades gives her a fur coat he intended to give to Hera. Persephone at first declines the gift, until Hades insists, she can keep it as neither he nor Hera want to wear it. When asked how she looks wearing the coat, Hades, while blushing, remarked that she looked sufficient and offers her coffee.

While making her a pot, Persephone notices Hades' phone is receiving a call from Minthe. Hades tries to brush her off as "just a nymph he associates with," but Persephone correctly deduces that Minthe is his lover and points out that Hades and his brothers have a reputation for having many sordid affairs. In response, Hades flirtatiously asks Persephone if he looks like a scoundrel to her, and Persephone responds that he is at least 30% scoundrel.

After filling Persephone in on how she ended up at his house and helping her with her hair, the two give each other a proper introduction by exchanging business cards; Persephone, however, gives Hades an old card with her original name: Kore. Persephone is embarrassed and asks for it back, but the King of the Underworld refuses, insisting on teasing her about its handmade nature.

Persephone questions why Eros would put her in Hades' car, believing she must have done something to upset him. A guilt-ridden Hades confesses to Persephone that he is responsible for their predicament, because he said Persephone was more beautiful than Aphrodite. Initially taken aback by this comment, Persephone breaks out in laughter and assumes Hades was just joking to make her feel better.

While Persephone begins playing with Hades' dog Cordon Blue, Hades receives a phone call from his brother Zeus reminding him of his brunch obligations. Hades and Persephone's day is cut short and Hades prepares to take Persephone home. Persephone, enthused by Hades' collection of cars, asks to drive. Hades at first refuses, but eventually gives in and allows Persephone to drive them to Olympus.

Just as they arrive at Artemis' house, Artemis herself jumps out and demands Persephone get in the house and out of "this pervert's car". Not wanting to end their meeting on a sour note, Hades playfully calls Persephone Kore while Persephone tells Hades he is now at 20% scoundrel as the two bid each other goodbye.

Relationships

Family

Demeter

Demeter is Persephone's mother. As Demeter created Persephone solely by herself, she is very protective of her, to the point of being overbearing and controlling. Demeter often puts what she believes to be best for Persephone over what Persephone wants herself. This has manifested for Persephone in the form of a nightmare where Demeter traps her in a greenhouse to keep her safe. Although their relationship is often strained, and Persephone enjoys her new freedom on Olympus, they are shown to still be close to each other. Persephone respects her mother for her strong-willed attitude and often takes after her no-nonsense approach to conflict. She is also shown to miss her mother and wonders how she is doing in the Mortal Realm.

Persephone as a child with Demeter.

From an early age, Persephone was groomed to become the face of Demeter's Barley Mother brand. Demeter also signed her up for programs at school, such as spelling bees and swim competitions, and pushed her to excel in a variety of subjects. When Persephone came of age, Demeter wanted Persephone to train as a sacred virgin and join the Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood, giving her little choice in the matter. Persephone believes this is because Demeter wants to avoid Zeus marrying her off to sweeten a business deal with another God, and avoid both a terrible marriage, like Hera has with Zeus, and the adultery that happens on Olympus.

However, as it becomes apparent that Persephone is a Fertility Goddess, a rare Goddess that's born every few thousand years and respected among the mortals for bringing fertility to the earth, Demeter's reasons start to become more questionable. As Persephone got older, she believed her mother was trying to hide her away from others and even seemed to be afraid of her powers as she grew stronger. Persephone once got in trouble with Demeter during one spring where everything was, in Hades' words, savage and wild compared to Demeter's very clean and neat version of spring.

After Persephone was deceived by Zeus and Hera's son, Ares, she calls Demeter to "defend" her, Demeter has the flower nymphs follow Persephone to the point where she is now never alone. At an unknown time, Persephone would meet Hermes after he accidentally trespass on her bathing as he could bathe himself before returning home. As he came to the realization, she was Demeter's daughter, Hermes wanted to buy her silence as he feared what Demeter would do if she found out. Persephone would create a plan where Demeter would "outsmart" Hermes after he would try to deceive Demeter into meeting her and then apologize by saying he had already seen Persephone and wanted to give a suitable gift for Persephone.

Demeter refusing to allow Persephone to live with Artemis.

Demeter fell for this and allowed the two to become friends, much to Persephone's excitement as she wanted more friends. The two became close friends which resulted in Hermes giving Persephone contraband and the two sneaking off to go skinning dippy. During this time, Hermes would see that Demeter and Persephone did not always get along and came to the realization that Demeter was trying to raise Persephone as a mortal despite the fact she was a goddess.

Not long after, Persephone would meet with TGOEM and be offer the chance to move in with Artemis and live on Olympus. Demeter was quick to deny this opportunity for Persephone. The argument continues in the Mortal Realm where Persephone blames Demeter for the way people view her as a joke because she's been sheltering her whole life. Demeter argues she has provided Persephone paradise on earth and Persephone does not appreciate what she's done. To end the argument, she grounds Persephone and forbids her from sending letters to friends. This infuriates Persephone and states she would rather have Zeus marry her off so she could no longer be under Demeter's control and Demeter calls her an ungrateful brat.

Persephone crying after arguing with Demeter.

Soon after the argument, Persephone would witness the deaths of her closest friends and commit an act of wrath. Demeter was quick to pay off Hermes so he can cover the souls arriving in the Underworld but was unable to do the same with the Titan Helios. Not long after this, she granted Persephone permission to live with Artemis when school started. Before she left to Olympus, the Goddess Hecate arrived to study in the Mortal Realm and Demeter allows her friend to stay on her land where Hecate and Persephone became close.

One day, the King of the Underworld Hades arrives one night drunk and looking for his friend Hecate. While Demeter is trying to prevent Persephone from discovering he was on her property, she was too late as Persephone snuck into his room. Although he was drunk and their meeting was brief, Hades asks Demeter about Persephone and wishes to know who she was. This prompts Demeter to get him drunker and then return him to the Underworld with Hecate. When confronting Persephone about that night, she was horrified to discovered that Persephone found him attractive.

Unknown to Demeter, Persephone believed Hades would come back to see her and waited for him but as she was unaware of the fact Demeter gave Hades too much to drink so he could blackout, Hades forgot about Persephone and never came back. Persephone soon arrived at Olympus and the two would not meet again for many weeks. When Demeter arrives on Olympus weeks after Persephone left for school, she makes it a point to visit but is unaware Persephone had run away. To prevent her from finding out, Artemis and Eros ask Hera to disguise herself as Persephone and Demeter is fooled by the disused and goes to lunch with her.

When news of about Persephone's act of wrath is release, Persephone hides in the Underworld with Hades and discovers her mother had met with Hecate to discover if she had seen Persephone. While she is relieved to hear she is well, Hecate and Persephone realize how anger she will be when she discovers Persephone is with Hades. When the Titan Leto arrives in the Underworld, she asks Persephone if she was ready to lose Demeter over her relationship with Hades.

Mother and daughter reunited.

When the trial for Persephone's act of wrath begins, the two are reunited for the first time. The happy reunion is cut short when Demeter notices Persephone wearing a pomegranate insignia and when asking if she stayed with Hecate, Persephone tries to get her to focus on the trial. Just as they start to argue, Demeter becomes more frustrated over the fact an Underworld staff member refereed to Persephone as "My Lady." Persephone then questions Demeter if she is a Fertility Goddess which stuns Demeter.

Demeter tries to dismiss the subject by stating that a Fertility Goddess is nothing more than an old wives' tale but wishes to know exactly who has brought up the idea she might be a Fertilely Goddess. While Persephone does tell her Apollo, and a few others, have brought up the subject, she wishes to hear the truth from Demeter as she doesn't like the idea Demeter knows more about her then herself. After Demeter argues that Persephone is too young to be concern with such a thing, Persephone argues back that she deserves to be treated as any other uncoddled, immortal being. Their argument is put on hold as them summon to begin the trial.

Demeter wants answers from Persephone.

When they're in the court room, Persephone nominates Hades to act as her lawyer to which he accepts but Demeter greatly disapproves and stares down at Persephone. She snaps, asking Persephone what she was thinking before trying to tell Zeus she would not receive a fair trial if Themis was absent. Demeter pleads with Zeus to let Persephone out of this trial and when Persephone tries to calm her down, Demeter leans in to whisper in her ear that they were going to have a talk about her and Hades. Persephone, although frighten by her mother's tone, agrees as she is upset with Demeter for making her believe that Hades had forgotten about her when they first met.

The two split up as Demeter refuses Hades as her lawyer and decides to represent herself instead. When Hades ask how she is, Persephone is crying over the frustration of her mother and her at odds, especially knowing that Demeter is hiding something from her. Moment later, the Muse Polymnia tells the courtroom about Persephone's act of wrath before Hermes arrives to testify. As Hermes reveals how the two met, he also reveals the scheme to deceit Demeter months ago as Persephone wanted to have more friends, greatly shocking Demeter when she hears this.

When Thanatos begins his testimony, Persephone makes eye contact with her mother which frightens her and causes her to look down in fear and panic. Demeter would hear how Hades had been giving Persephone "special treatment" from Hades and much to her horror, discover that Persephone had nearly been strangled in Tower 4. While Persephone tells Demeter she was fine, she secretly panics at the fact Demeter now knew what happen. As Thantos reveals that Thetis was the one who came up with the idea to report Persephone so Hades would leave Persephone to get back with Minthe, Demeter once again is staring at Persephone.

Demeter displeased by Persephone's choice.

As Zeus reveals to have Persephone's ledger that Thanatos stole from her room, he claims to have found "proof" that Persephone was undermining Hades. As Persephone explains the plans in the ledger were not to undermine Hades but a project she wanted to present to Hades, she reveals she doesn't want to return to Olympus or the Mortal Realm once the trial was over. Demeter is furious to discover this and questions Persephone about spring to which Persephone claims that the realm didn't need her, which only angers Demeter even more. Persephone claims she could make a difference in the Underworld if Hades accepted her help. As Hades goes through her plans and ask if her drawings were how she saw herself in his realm, Persephone nods despite the disapproving look from Demeter.

When Hades questions why Demeter never came to him when Persephone committed her act of wrath, Demeter states Persephone's safety meant more to her than protecting Hades' feelings and while Hades acknowledges this, he turns his focus on defending Persephone as her lawyer. As Hades has Persephone tell the court what happen the day she committed her act of wrath, Demeter is shown crying over the deaths of the flower nymphs, Krokos and Withy, two of her childhood friends of Persephone which indicates she was close to them as well.

Once Hades proves his point that most gods such as Artemis and Apollo commit acts of wrath without permits, he goes off and compliments Persephone which worries Demeter. She stands up and ask to have time to speak to Persephone, which Zeus allows and decides to end the first day of the trial. Demeter and Persephone walk out and go to have privacy where Demeter confronts Persephone on why Hades is in love with her. Perephone states the two are just friends to which Demeter argues back that she's heard too much in the courtroom to believe it and sees Hades looking at her "as if he's never had a drop to drink, and you are a sparking river." Demeter feels hurt by Persephone's relationship with Hades when she sent her to Olympus for an education, leading to Persephone ending the argument as she reminds Demeter she has been scruntined all day.

Persephone asks Demeter about Hades.

Persephone then confronts her Mother about getting Hades blackout drunk to forget her to which Demeter states she did it to protect her. While Persephone believes she meant to do that, Persephone was truley hurt to discover what she had done as she felt she made a connection with Hades. As Persephone admits she waited for him to return and never did as a result of Demeter, Persephone felt foolish in hoping Hades would return for her, shocking Demeter. After Persephone reveals that she is the one who is in love with Hades, she returns to her hotel room.

After Hades arrives from overhearing a conversation from Apollo and Hephaestus, Persephone confides in him about Apollo's assualt on her. As Hades takes her to the Mortal Realm, the two retreet to a childhood vaction home Demeter would take Persephone as a child. When Hades questions Persephone about Demeter to which Persephone simply states she is mad at her and makes Persephone feel as though she could laugh as a result of her life falling apart.

Romantic

Hades

Persephone sees Hades for the first time.

Hades is Persephone's future husband and the King of the Underworld. Hades and Persephone first met in the Mortal Realm, although Hades does not remember this meeting. After Hades drunkenly travels there in order to visit Hecate, a close friend of his that was visiting the realm at the time, Hades is left unattended in a room on Demeter's property. Persephone sneaks in through a window to see him, taking the form of a butterfly. Persephone is surprised that Hades is not as scary as she thought, and in response, Hades ends up frightening Persephone badly enough that she returns to her normal form and lands on him with only dissolved butterflies covering her.

The two then have an exchange, during which Persephone desperately inquires as to whether Hades can return mortals from the dead. Hades responds that he cannot, and Persephone continues to plead with him before ultimately fleeing when she hears Demeter coming. Hades inquiries about her, but Demeter is protective of Persephone and denies any knowledge. Demeter encourages him to drink more in order for Hades to blackout and not remember the encounter. Demeter would scold Persephone over her meeting with Hades and becomes angrier when Persephone admits to finding Hades, "aesthetically pleasing." Unknown to Demeter, Persephone hoped and waited for Hades to return as she felt the two had a connection in the few minutes they spoke but as Hades blacked out after drinking with Demeter, he never did which left her feeling foolish and humilated.

Persephone and Hades second meeting.

Sometime after Persephone moves to Olympus and the two officially meet once again after the Panathenaea held at Zeus and Hera's. Upon seeing Persephone in the crowd, Hades is immediately smitten and asks Zeus who she was and why he has never seen her before. Hades remarks to his brothers that Persephone's beauty puts Aphrodite's to shame. Over hearing this, she calls her her son Eros and orders him to intoxicate Persephone and put her in Hades' car to humiliate her. Hades is flustered after being unable to find Persephone in the crowd, and decides to head home. When he arrives, he discovers Persephone in his backseat. He carefully brings her inside his home and settles her in his guest room. When Persephone wakes up the next morning, the two talk and quickly form a connection. Her kind and thoughtful nature and the genuine attention he receives from her make him quick to develop feelings for her. Hades gives her a jacket that was meant for Hera and allows her to drive one of his cars, something he doesn't let anyone do.

Persephone thinking of Hades.

When they arrive at her home, the two are in a car talking before Artemis, Persephone's best friend and roommate, marches out and orders her out of the car and tells Hades she's watching him. Persephone breaks away from Artemis' grip to look back and say goodbye before Artemis pulls her inside and slams the door. Artemis then asks Persephone if Hades had touch her and Persephone recalls all the times he held her in his arms or touched hands. When Eros arrives to apologize, he is quick to realize that Persephone has developed a crush on Hades but she denies this and states she only likes to look at his "dorky" face.

With Artemis and Eros arguing in the background over his love story with the mortal Psyche, she takes the advantage and adds Hades' number, which she got from his business card earlier that morning, and texts him about getting a phone. She then shows Eros the fur coat Hades gave her and when he asks if he could keep it, she's quickly shut him down, embrassing her once she realized how she reacted. When Eros and Artemis take her to the mall, she is upset when he hasn't responded to her. Eros finds her standing beside mannequins dressed in suits, similar to Hades, and putting the sleeves around her. She admits to Eros that Hades made her feel important.

Hades offers to take Persephone home.

After reunited with Hermes, a longtime friend of hers, and meets Apollo, Artemis's twin brother, the four of them spend the rest of the day together. Apollo is quick to make her doubt Hades's intentions after she tells them how much she enjoyed her brief stayed with him. The night ends tragically as she is sexually assaulted by Apollo. Unsure of what to do, she decides to text Hades once more and much to her surprise, he calls her. Hades reveals he was unaware of the texts coming from her as she never put her name down in them but she's quick to tell him that all he had to do was ask. Realizing she was right; he apologizes before he hears her cry. She asks him not to hung up and they talk, Hades even asking if she wanted him to take her back home when she says she's feeling homesick.

The conversation leads to him comforting her when she talks about how insignificant she feels and he admits to preferring her version of spring over her mother's and how she is one of the reasons the mortals see them as Gods instead of monsters. She then asks about him becoming King which he is uncomfortable to answer but they make a deal where she asks him another question and in exchange, he can ask her a question at any time. The two stays on the phone until they both eventually fall asleep.

They keep in touch throughout the morning, Hades sending her a picture of Cerberus and Persephone sending him a picture of himself from Hera's office. She would later talk to the portrait and gets caught by Hera, making her feel embarrass. Unknown to Persephone, Hera has decided to put Hades through a series of tests to see if Hades would make a good suitor for Persephone. When Hera tells her that she will be working in the Underworld, she quickly worries that she will be a failure at the job and fears Hades will see her as incompetent. After accepting she can't get out of working for him, Hera whispers to her and ask if she would prepare talking to Hades in person instead of his portrait. She then goes to school where her classmates show her a tabloid article with Hades and Persephone on the cover. While she shows no anger over it and states their just friends, her classmates are quick to think she is sleeping with Hades and may be trying to get her way into the royal family.

Hades carrying Persephone.

The next day, Persephone arrives in the Underworld to see Hades. She would meet the nymph Minthe, Hades' girlfriend and personal assistant. After seeing the article, Minthe tries to get Persephone to leave but instead sends her to Tower 4 which would set off the alarm system. Hades would see her on the security cameras and quickly arrives to save her. When he finds her, she breaks down in tears for her mistake but Hades assures her it wasn't her fault and the two embrace. He then carries her out and when she's done showering, she starts to wonder if she does indeed have a crush on him and Hades gifts her a hair comb.

When he tries to refuse her a job at the company, not wanting her to get hurt again because she's around him, she convinces him to a game of chess to win a spot at the company. When she wins, he keeps his word and allows her to become an intern. After giving her an introduction to the staff, Hades goes to take Persephone home and shows her the article but to his surprise, she shows no anger and instead finds it a nice picture of the two. The moment she goes inside, she finds Artemis and Hestia, the founder of The Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood, waiting for her and have a copy of the article. Hestia yells and brings Persephone to tears over the article before asking for the coat Hades gave her. She reluctantly gives the coat to Hestia but to her relief, keeps the hair comb.

Despite Hades' growing feelings for Persephone, he decides to work on his relationship with Minthe as he is uncertain if he genuinely loves Persephone after only knowing her for a short amount of time or is just infatuated with her. He is also concerned that he will hurt her due to his emotional baggage and feels guilty about hurting Minthe, believing she needs him more than Persephone. As a result, he decides the best thing he could do for them is to put distance between them. Hades then decides to to find the writer of the article for damaging Persephone's reputation as a Goddess of Eternal Maidenhood. Before leaving for work, Persephone would make Hades' baklava using one of Hestia's recipes and gets into a fight with Artemis when she confronts her about her growing relationship with Hades, questioning her commitment to TGOEM and worried about Hades using her and being just like his brothers.

Persephone arrives to work and meets Hades in the elevator but he rejects her baklava as he states it wouldn't be right since she works for him now. Minthe then arrives and kisses him in front of Persephone. He pushes her away and as Minthe talks to him, he is shown to be ignoring her and staring at Persephone who is clearly hurt when seeing the two. They ride the elevator in silence until Thanatos, Hermes, and Hecate, join in and Persephone reveals she doesn't have a license. Hades becomes upset and Thanatos reveals that no one, including him, aren't allowed to drive his cars. She hands him a baklava so he can have it when he stops being 'snippy.'

Hecate gets Hades to give Persephone a tour and although he continues the attempt to distance himself, it fails. When the two are stopped by a reporter who ask questions regarding their relationship, they are unaware of the fact that it was Hera testing Hades in disguise. When the 'reporter' asks to take a picture of the pair, Persephone agrees to it without a second thought. The flash, however, frightens her and Hades worries before taking her away. He then asks if she had gotten mad when the 'reporter' grabbed her arm and admits he was intrigued and wanted to see her tear into the reporter.

Persephone learns to fly.

The pair eventually make it to the "The Beach" and Persephone unintentionally test Hades' self-control after the Erinyes, Megaera, lends her one of her uniforms. He then admits that he was the one who assigned her her job and hands her a business card he created. Persephone worries if she could fulfill her job but Hades assures her that she is more than capable of doing it and finds her to be very powerful. The two almost share a kiss until the two see Persephone has gained the ability to fly.

After leaving "The Beach," Hades asks her how she ended up in Tower 4 and after slight consideration of exposing Minthe in the hopes Hades might break up with her, she decides against it and lies. Hades sees through her lie and decides to wait until she's ready to tell him the truth. At the end of the day, Minthe finds the two and wraps her arms around Hades. Persephone decides to leave and flies back home with Hades watching her.

When she comes back home, Artemis and her make up but she then admits to having a crush on Hades, much to Artemis' anger. Eros then arrives as he senses Persephone admitting to having a crush and Persephone tells the two her plans of shoving her feelings for Hades deep down inside her and letting them "wither over time," and that he belongs to Minthe. Artemis, angry at the idea Hades was playing with Persephone's feelings, leaves in a rage to key the Kings' car. Eros and Persephone continue the conversion on the roof and he attempts to assure her that Hades and Minthe are the ultimate on again, off again couple.

After Eros discovers Apollo's assault on Persephone, he takes her to his home. She wakes up the next morning to seeing a late message from Hades and is thrilled to see he ate her baklava but is concern since he sent her the message at four in the morning. Eros's younger sisters then helps her create a Fatesbook and while Persephone wishes to request Hades as a friend, Eros advises they want him to request her as a friend. When Aphrodite arrives, she is able to see that Persephone has a crush on Hades and then berates Persephone for allowing Minthe to have Hades, claiming that "NYMPHS DO NOT TAKE GODS FROM US" and encourages her to stop being passive in regards to him. When Persephone leaves to go home, she calls Hades and momentarily freezes when she hears his voice since she now acknowledges her feelings for him. The two talk briefly as she was concern about him being up late and ends when she arrives home but is visibly upset when ending the call. In Episode 75, unknown to her or Hades, a still image produced by the Fates shows Persephone as Queen of the Underworld, revealing that the two will eventually get married.

Hades helps Persephone with Apollo.

When Persephone decide to spend her day working on Hera's garden, she was shocked to see Hades was there. Hera then forces the two to stay and while Hera and Zeus argue over dinner, the two smile and acknowledge each other. Hades would follow her to the garden moment, both of them unaware that Hera and Zeus would spy on them and cheer the two on. Hades watches her work on the garden but he is greatly confused when she doesn't use her powers. She tells him it's because it prevents her from losing her sympathy and while he doesn't understand it, he's trying too. After she accidentally grabs his hand, she apologizes and calls herself a "stupid village girl," making Hades comfort her and tell her that he was also born in Sicily. She gifts him a pomelia and kisses his cheek but their moment is interrupted by Zeus who orders the two to stop "canoodling."

Hades takes her home but is confronted by Apollo, who was waiting for her to come home. Seeing her fear, Hades gets out but Apollo tries to dismiss Hades and tells him how he's imagining Persephone caring for him. Persephone summons the courage to tell Apollo he was wrong and demands he leaves. Hades then calls Poseidon who grabs Apollo and leaves to the Mortal Realm before walking her to the door.

Persephone would go back to school after her three-day weekend and discover that her classmate Tori, is the roommate of Alex Petre, the man who wrote the article about her and Hades and is now in the hospital after Hades pulled his eye out. She tries to reach Hades but eventually goes to the Underworld where she reunites with Ares. He uses his powers on her to increase her rage but when the two make it to Hades' office, she notices the pomelia she gave him was still on his desk. She calms down and much to Ares' disappointment, Hades is comforting Persephone as she cries and wishes to make up for whatever he did to upset her. Persephone would suddenly feel weak and when discovering it was because of Ares, he assures him that the only reason he won't be facing punishment for his actions is based solely on the fact that he's, his nephew. After getting away from Ares, the two are alone and Hades prepares her food but he soon acknowledges he's trying to avoid the subject out of fear. He admits to ripping Alex's eye out and apologizes for doing it without telling her about it beforehand.

Persephone and Hades admit their feelings.

Persephone then voices her concerns and apologizes for flirting with him despite him being with Minthe. She explains that she simply never expected to feel a connection with another being so quickly. Hades is relieved that Persephone's motivations for being close with him are because she truly likes him and not that she is simply kind to everyone, and tells her she doesn't need to apologize for what they have. Persephone almost runs away in shame before Hades stops her and begs her to stay, not wanting her to leave in the state she's in. Persephone reiterates that she feels guilty for disregarding Minthe's feelings and also feels conflicted about her candidacy for TGOEM, explaining that her current intense hand-holding sessions with Hades aren't what Hestia had in mind when she rewarded Persephone the scholarship. When Hades asks if Persephone wants him to leave her alone, she quickly says no, and the two hold each other. She explains she simply wants to take it slow and while she doesn't like Minthe, doesn't want Hades to cheat on her.

Persephone and Hades setting boundaries.

Persephone convinces Hades to return Alex's eye and they go to the hospital. He asks her to step outside so she wouldn't see him in his true form but unknown to Hades, she sees him through the window and her powers react and make her go through a "second puberty." Embarrassed over her body reacting this way, she asks to borrow his jacket to hide her transformation. Hades takes her back home; Persephone comes up with a set of rules to create boundaries for the two not to cross any lines due to their prior commitments. Hades would agree to these and leaves but moments after entering her home, Hades returns but is greeted by Hestia instead.

Seeing Hestia's anger over her being alone with Hades once again, the two quickly cover up why he's there, prompting him to stay longer and make a donation to the organization. Hestia would later show Persephone her ceremonial gown and while she wishes to show the gown to Hades, she notices he has left. He leaves a check but Hestia sees that he made it out to Persephone instead of the organization and thanks her for having him over on the back of the check. Later that night she cries while holding his jacket, heartbroken over the day's events, but smiles when Hades requests to be her friend on Fatesbook.

Persephone ask how Hades is after the breakup.

While at work, Hades and Persephone attempt to follow the rules to slow down their relationship but Hades soon discovers it's Persephone's birthday when Hermes arrives to give her balloons. While he tries to talk to her about her birthday, she's quick to dismiss it but immediately apologizes for it. She gives him back the jacket and ask him to fix the check he wrote out to her. Hades asks if he could give her a birthday present but since he doesn't give any of his other interns a gift, she advises against it. Hades then introduces her to his new dog Meli, but she jokingly calls her Pomelia, a nod to the flower she gave him days prior.

When discovering that she doesn't have a bank account, he goes to take her to the bank so she can open an account. When Eros calls to wish her a happy birthday, he tells her about Hades and Minthe's breakup. Persephone instantly feels guilty and believes she was the cause of it. When she confronts Hades over it, he assures her that it wasn't her fault. Seeing that he is struggling to follow the rules she created, she decides to stop pushing the subject. After finishing the paperwork, the employee asks if the two are dating, much to their embarrassment.

Persephone and Hades' First Kiss.

In Episode 110, Persephone stays late and goes to the "The Beach" but soon runs into trouble when she tries to give coins to the shades. Hades arrives and brings her back but when he discovers what her intentions were to give coins to the shades, the two leads argue about the old traditions before she asks him why he cares what she thinks which leads Hades admitting he wants her. The two share a passionate kiss before Persephone, flustered and excited, transforms into butterflies and disappears unexpectedly. When Persephone returns back home, she is furious over her body transforming and leaving him after waiting to kiss him for so long. When talking to herself in the mirror, her mirror self tells her that she would have devoured Hades by now. The following night, she summons Hades to her room due to feeling anxious and unable to sleep. He agrees to stay with her until she falls asleep and the two talk about the kiss where she explains that she did enjoy their kiss but simply got too excited over it.

Hades and Persephone leaving to have breakfast.

The next morning, Persephone wakes up in Hades' arms and acknowledges she could get in trouble if someone walked in and saw them together, but claims it's worth it. Hades wakes up and checks the time, realizing he needs to return home for the dogs. He asks her to come with him to have breakfast and in seconds, she's dressed and ready to go. The two returns to the Underworld where they spend the morning together, enjoying each other's company and having breakfast together before she leaves.

After leaving she buys Hades a blue pocket square with dogs but when she discovers Apollo is dating her old friend Daphne, she threatens to expose him. He shows her pictures he took of her assault and blackmails her to be quiet. Afraid and unsure of what to do, she packs up her belongings and runs away to the Underworld. With little money, she is forced to sell the hair comb Hades gave her and feels ashamed to do so.

In Episodes 128 and 129, Hades soon finds Persephone almost close to hibernation after a warrant for her arrested was issued by Zeus. Hades pleads over her body in tears, begging her to wake up and desires for the two to go Sicily and have her show him around his old home. His voice reaches her and wakes up in his arms. When Hecate and Hades bring her to his home, Hades returns the hair comb to her and lets her stay in the Underworld while letting her tell the truth about her act of wrath. After hearing her out, she is surprised to hear he now remembers their first meeting. He shows her the tape of their first real meeting and while she finds it funny, he is still embarrassed. He then opens up to her by telling her the story of his parents, how he was saved by Zeus, and gained his scars.

Hades begs Persephone to wake up.

Hades decides to go to work and after some debating, he brings her and hides her with the cloak of invisibility. When they make it to his office, Minthe is there and goes to remove her robe, revealing she wore lingerie underneath. Hades quickly ties her robe up and Minthe snaps at Hades for being "still up her ass" which prompts Hades to call her back on her hypocrisy with Persephone being "too perfect" and now being "too wrathful" for him. He says that she can be both and gestures to a furious Minthe to leave. Persephone removes the cloak and Thanatos, having been kicked out by Minthe, watches the two together and realizes that Hermes was right about Persephone being Hades' favor. When Zeus calls a meeting with Hades and the Olympian, he sees Persephone and orders her to come in or she would receive a worse punishment than Prometheus. This causes Hades to take over the call and the brothers to argue, making Zeus lash out by telling him that Persephone was only using him. Later that day, the two are taking a bath, separated through a wall, and Hades assures her that he knows she isn't using him and Zeus just wanted to hurt him. After the bath, they go into the kitchen to order when they see Hera and seeing the two in robes, questions if she was interrupting. She takes Persephone to another room and questions her about Apollo.

Persephone with a sleeping Hades.

When Hera leaves, Persephone returns to Hades and breaks down in his arms. He takes her to the roof and teaches her to play golf to distract her. They spend the rest of their days in the Underworld in peace as they watch movies, one night leading to Persephone telling a sleeping Hades that not falling is difficult, gets her a new "garbage" phone, and continue to work together as they wait for the trial to come. Hades goes to take Persephone shopping and in Episode 144, leads to their second kiss. The kiss leads to her falling on top of him and when she begins to dissolve into butterflies, Hades tops her by holding her closely. Hades expresses hesitance, explaining that he doesn't want to overstep his boundaries as a host and that he is unsure if Persephone is completely comfortable kissing him. Persephone explains that while she truly enjoys kissing him, she is simply scared of what may or may not come after and fears Hades will stop wanting her. Hades assures her that that is impossible, and that "a kiss can just be a kiss" before giving her an pomegranate insignia that he wore with his traditional cloths and promises that they can go with whatever pace Persephone is comfortable with. Hades then asks if Persephone would like to go on a real date with him after her trial, signaling the start of their relationship.

Persephone comforts Hades after his nightmare.

The two would later go swimming and later that night, Hades wakes up from having a nightmare of his Father, Kronos, devouring Persephone. When seeing him outside her bedroom door, she lets him stay in her bed and rest his head on her shoulder while showing him a video to relax him. He opens up about his nightmare and she assures him that she is safe. Unknown to them, two workers had caught the two kissing in the stores and rumors started spreading all over the Underworld that the two were now in a relationship and the people reporting the make out as "steamy."

Persephone and Hades in their true forms.

This would reach Minthe who refuses to accept her relationship with Hades has ended. She makes one final attempt to seduce him but after being rejected again, she snaps and states that Persephone is the one who came up with the idea that she get transferred. She goes to search for Persephone so she could tell her what to expect from a relationship with Hades but she would end up revealing herself as the one who reported Persephone and Demeter to Zeus. Hearing her confession cause both of them to transform into their true form, chase after her, and Persephone accidentally curses her and tunrs her into a plant.

After the two fail to break the curse, Persephone tells Hades about her fear of Minthe getting fired or the two breaking up if she told him that Minthe sent her to Tower 4. They then admit their attraction to one another in their true forms. When Hecate arrives and ask what happen to Minthe, Persephone admits it was a mix of rage but mild arousal from seeing Hades in his true form, shocking Hades when he hers this. She feels guilty for everything Hades has done to take care of her and causing him problems. Hecate then tells Persephone about Demeter but the two women realize that Demeter will not be happy to discover about Persephone being in the Underworld with Hades. Persephone recalls her mother's reaction to when she first met Hades in the Mortal Realm and Hecate stating she "didn't envy her."

Persephone receives a call from the flower nymphs from the Mortal Realm and the two leave to find them. Persephone fears that Hades will not like them while Hades fears they would not like him. After finding them, Hades welcomes them to his home and Daphne arrives with Thanatos moments after. Daphne and Persephone go into her bedroom where they talk about their partners before Daphne finds a blue lingerie set in one of Persephone's bags, making her recall a memory of the saleswoman saying she would be the "boss of the bedroom" with it. After pressuring Hades and Persephone to dance, the nymphs show their approval of their relationship.

First Dance.

During the dance, Persephone ask what Hades would have done if they had met at the party and he jokingly states he would have crumbled at her feet. When he pulls her in his arms, he whispers into her ear what he would have told her that night if she would have accepted a dance from him. The night ends with Apollo and Artemis's mother Leto sneaking into the Underworld and tells Persephone how Hades once asked Hera to be his queen, something he had yet to tell Persephone himself. After she says goodnight to Hades, she goes into her room and breaks down as she feels overwhelmed and feels Hera will forever be better than her in every way.

Persephone goes to her first therapy secession and meets her therapist Chiron. During the secession, Persephone brings up how she has been preparing to join TGOEM for years but now she's been started a lot of sexual attraction to Hades. She admits she thought they would disappear in time but instead it's doubled and she fears losing the closeness the two have and being an inadequate partner. When the secession ends, Hades arrives with a large bouquet of flowers for her and fears he crossed a line during the dance as he senses Persephone being distance towards him. Persephone accept the bouquet and during the car ride him, confronts him about Hera which catches him off guard and hit the breaks in his car. Hades shows deep regret over the affair and not telling Persephone sooner.

The two arrive at his home where he tells her the story of him and Hera and when she asks if he had any lingering feelings for Hera, he assures her that the two are officially and forever done but he will always care and respect her as the two have gone through a lot. In the story he tells her how they won the war against his Father, Hera and him growing closer after she was seriously injured, and how he became King of the Underworld, something he was hesitate to talk to her about when they were starting to become friends.

With the story done, Persephone tells him how inadequate she feels knowing that Hera, someone she greatly looks up to, and him were once together but Hades assures her that the affair was based on his desire for intimacy and Hera wanting to get back at Zeus for his affairs. Hades reveals his fears of Persephone looking down on him for having an an affair but Persephone tells Hades she's grateful to have heard the story for him. She goes to lay down on his lap and tell him how she hates being caught off guard which prompts Hades to take her to Tartarus, wanting her to be completely aware of all the cons that come with being in a relationship with him.

Persephone accepts Hades.

He continues his story about his journey to the Underworld where many of the inhibits rejected him as King. Refusing to go back to Zeus for help in fear of him seeing him as weak and wanting to quickly imprison his father before his strength return, he was quick to act. He soon found Erebos, a being of darkness with no physical form, who asked if he truly wished rule the domain, and if so, would have to make a sacrifice. Hades went over to a pomegranate tree, the only living thing to grow a single pomegranate, and ate it.

Persephone and Hades take a picture together.

He woke up as the the King of the Underworld but he is unsure of what was taken from him when he consumes the fruit. He tells her how he is unable to stay away from the Underworld for long and how it may have been the reason he is unable to have children. He starts to shutter but Persephone comforts him with a hug, accepting everything she's heard. They head home where he answers her questions, including if she would ever need to eat the pomegranate to be seen as Queen if they were to ever married. When all questions are done, she requests that they take a picture together. She sends the picture Eros and states that she's unsure how much longer she can stay with Hades but at the least she has a photo of the two of them.

Hades and Persephone playing around.

When Hades is having a meeting with his nephew Hephaestus, he notices him staring at Persephone through the glass window. He is quick to invite Persephone in and excitedly introduces the two. When Ares arrives unexpectedly, Hades suddenly grabs and holds Persephone in his arms. As Ares and Hephaestus are talking, the pair wait outside. When Hades suggest the two grab a muffin in the cafeteria, she wishes to stay to see whats happening with the brothers. Hades playfully teases her about wanting to stay and hear the gossip, making her roll her eyes as he grins. She then shows him her ability to bring a dead plant back to life inside the room but this leads to Hades killing it with his powers and a playful cycle starting between with the two. Hephaestus, fed up with the two playing around, orders them to flirt somewhere else, leaving the two flustered and apologize to him.

Persephone afraid of the outcome of her trial.

The two are later seen back in his apartment cooking before Hermes arrives and delivers the message that Zeus has Demeter and Persephone's trial will begin the next day. Hades is furious but Persephone accepts her fate and reminds Hades that she must go and ensure her mother is safe. After Hermes leaves, Persephone feels sick and leaves to throw up. Hades is outside the bathroom door and despite Persephone's protest that him seeing her throw up would ruin the mystique, he assures her he's fine and has water for her. She allows him to enter and he pulls her in his arms where she cries over the upcoming trial and fear of the unknown.

She asks him if she can remain in the Underworld after her trial and while Hades says yes, he asks why she wouldn't want to return to Olympus. Persephone begins to cry again and Hades gently lays her down on his lap and when he tells her of a life after the trial, she imagines herself with beautiful apartment with a heated floor, a kind doorman to greet her, and somewhere close enough where the two can continue to visit one enough and Hades could help her with groceries. She eventually falls asleep on his lap and he carries her to her room to let her sleep on her bed.

Hades arrives with Persephone.

The trial begins and Hades arrives with Persephone with reporters all in shock to see the King of the Underworld is not joining Zeus but supporting Persephone. Reporters were quick to see Persephone wearing the pomegranate insignia, which was given to her by Hades after their kiss at the mall days ago. Hades states he had no intentions of blindly following his brother and Persephone was quick to dismiss reporters questioning her relationship with Hades.

When it becomes overwhelming, Hades pulls her to keep walking until they discover that Apollo is petitioning Zeus for her hand in marriage. Persephone calls it pathetic before the two go inside and Persephone starts to get fearful over the possibility of it being true. When Persephone gets worried about her eyes, which have stayed red since the night before, Hades comforts her and states she is beautiful before leaving her to speak to her mother in private.

While reuniting with Demeter, her mother is shock to discover Persephone can fly and Persephone briefly recalls when she first discovered the ability after almost kissing Hades' weeks before. The reunion quickly turns sour when Demeter questions the pomegranate insignia Persephone wore and hearing an Underworld staff member refer to Persephone as "My Lady." Persephone attempts to get Demeter to answer her regarding the possibility that she is in fact a Fertility Goddess but Demeter refuses to answers as she states Persephone is still too young to worry about such things. As their summon to the courtroom, Persephone ties to get her own lawyer and though she is denied at first, Hades and Persephone look at each other and nod. Persephone recalls a loophole in the law that allows her to choose her own lawyer and then choses Hades who accepts despite the glares of Zeus and Demeter.

Hades comes to Persephone's side and although she tries to get Demeter to listen to her, Demeter instead whispers that they will have a long talk about her and Hades. Persephone, although visibly scared by her mother, agrees as she is angry at her for making her believe Hades forgot her. As they split, Hades ask how Persephone is and she cries over the situation and tells Hades that Demeter is indeed withholding information about her. Hades assures her that they have prepared for the worse. Zeus then has Polymnia tell the courthouse a recap of Persephone's act of wrath and describes Persephone as seducing Hades in order to protect her. Hades comforts her by telling her Polymnia said it on purpose to get Persephone upset.

Thanatos' view of Hades and Persephone's relationship.

As Hermes testify and tells the story of how the two became friends and helped cover up her crime, Hades looks at Persephone with concern. While Hades is upset over the fact Hermes did this behind his back, he shows no angry over Persephone. When Hermes reveals Thanatos had reported Persephone to Zeus, Hades was furious. Thanatos arrives to testify and reveals his reasons for why he felt Persephone was suspicious and believed she was deceiving Hades while receiving special treatment from him. Finding it hard to believe that the investigation into Persephone was for his own wellbeing, Thanatos tells Hades that Thetis was the one who came up with their plan as a way for Hades to see who Persephone really was so he could leave her and reunite with Minthe.

Persephone and Hades at the trial.

When Thetis arrives to show Minthe was cursed by Persephone, Persephone nervously grabs onto Hades and asked how she could have gotten her, making Hades respond back that he has to work on his security. Thetis attempts to prove Persephone is dangerous and "killed" Minthe to be with Hades but Persephone defends herself by telling the court how she accidentally cursed Minthe. Thanatos, now fed up with Thetis' schemes, explains how Thetis planned this for the sole purpose of having Minthe get back together with Hades, Thetis fires back that Thanatos broke into Artemis and Persephone' house to get Persephone's ledger.

Persephone is furious to discover this and accidentally reveals that other "people" have entered her room without her permission. She apologizes for her outburst to which Hades says there was no need too but asks who else has gone into her room. She dismisses the questions and Hades, although now concerned, drops the subject. As Thanatos reveals he broke in to her bedroom to find her ledger, Zeus shows it in court and claims to have found "proof" that Persephone has been undermining Hades the entire time.

Persephone gives Hades the ledger.

As Zeus attempts to push Persephone into confessing that plans and blueprints found meant for her to use against Hades, he grabs Zeus tie and tells him to shut up so Persephone could defend herself. Persephone reveals she not only included the names of the lives she accidentally took but she had been coming up with plans to create a place for exceptional mortals instead of them being placed in various levels of purgatory or Tartarus.

With this, she reveals she has no desire to return to Olympus or the Mortal Realm, which greatly infuriates Demeter and ask about her duty to spring to which Persephone argues that the Mortal Realm doesn't need her. Persephone turns to Hades and tells him she wishes to help him as she feels she could make a difference in the Underworld if he gave her the chance.

She gives him the ledger and states she wanted to show him her project in a more professional manner. When asking if he believed her, Hades questions if the drawings she included were how she saw herself in his realm to which she agrees. When Hades gets up, he orders Thanatos to grab her a chair before he turns to Zeus and expresses his anger over him believing her ledger was proof of treason and that it was hard for him to imagine Persephone would do something nice for him just because she wanted to. He further explains how Zeus only thought of such things because it was him and no one else.

Hades then questions Demeter on why she never came to him when Persephone committed her act of wrath while acknowledging the two have had a rough history. Demeter states Persephone's safety meant more to her than protecting Hades' feelings and while Hades acknowledges this, he turns his focus on defending Persephone as her lawyer. Hades begins by explaining how her trial should have never gone this far and how it should have only been an Underworld matter but Zeus cut him out of the decisions. As he explains how her punishment should not be extreme, he mentions community services as an option which gets her excited and results in Hades having to stare at her seriously in order for her to stop talking about how much she loves community service.

Hades ask Persephone about her act of wrath.

He then grabs her hands, causing her to blush, before she explains what happen the day she committed her act of wrath, breaking down as she does so. He leans in to whisper that she was doing great and the trial would be over soon. Hades then provides several important infromation, such as humans trespasing Demeter's land and killing several flower nymths were glossed over which resulted in Persephone to commit her act of wrath, to which Ares and Athena were surprised and angry to discover. Hades then proves the hypocrisy between Zeus' treatment towards Persephone as Apollo and Artemis did not receive a permit to commit their act of wrath but the twins were praised and given medals while Persephone is being held accountable. As Hades finishes his defense, he compliments Persephone by stating she is a "brave, intelligent, articulate, generous, beautiful woman" which worries Demeter.

Demeter stands up and ask to have time to speak to Persephone, which Zeus allows and decides to end the first day of the trial. When Demeter and Persephone leave to have privacy, Demeter confronts Persephone on why Hades is in love with her. Persephone attempts to deny that the two are anything more then friends but as Demeter frustrating keeps pushing the subject, Persephone begs her to stop as she has gone through enough for one day. When Demeter drops the subject, Persephone asks her about getting Hades blacked out drunk in order for him to forget her. Confused as to how she discovered this, Demeter begs her to understand she did it for Persephone and while Persephone understands it, she tells Demeter how hurt she was and confesses that not only had she hoped he would come back to see her but that she has fallen in love with Hades.

As Persephone and Demeter were talking, Hades found himself outside a room where he overhears Apollo confronting Hephaestus in which he indirectly reveals his assault on Persephone. As Persephone is back in her hotel room, Hades knocks before she allows him inside and notices his concern look. The two sit down on the bed and Hades apologizes as he asks her if Apollo hurt her. Persephone is frighten by his question and when he asks again, he cups her cheek only for Persephone to pull away and change the subject about some loukoumi Megeara gave her. As he tries to get her to stop rambling, she goes on about people being disappointed with lemon flavored loukoumi but believes if they gave the flavor a chance they may enjoy it.

Persephone's confession.

With the two sitting in silence, she ask Hades to get her a soda but as he tries to ask her again and she tells him about a vending machine in the lobby. Seeing as he pushed her, Hades goes to get her the soda only for Persephone to realizes she was pushing away someone she loved for a soda. She stops him from leaving and brings up the night they spoke on the phone. He walks back into the room where they hug before she pulls away and tearfully confess about Apollo's assault on her that night. Filled with rage, the sky becomes down and the glass windows of the hotel begin to crack before Hades transforms into a Titan-sized being and begins to crawl out of the room to find Apollo.

Persephone needs Hades.

Persephone stops him but Hades insist he will find Apollo and kill him. Although she reminds him that he can't kill a god, Hades tells her that could give Apollo a fate worse then death for what he did to her. As Persephone tries to stop him, Hades argues that there has to be repercussions but Persephone explains that Hades punishing Apollo would not make her feel better. She then hugs his thumb and begs him to stay with her. Hades transforms back to his original state and the two hold onto each other as Persephone breaks down crying and tells him that she needs him. Hades apologizes for his reaction and Persephone needing to console him in the hotel hallway before telling her that Apollo is the one that should be on trial for his crimes. Hades offers to take Persepone anywhere she would like to go.

The two arrive in the Mortal Realm and while Persephone worres if this is allowed, Hades assures her there will be no issues as long as their back to continue the trial in two days. Hades then ask Persephone how Demeter is to which Persephone simply answers that she is mad. When asking if Hades has ever felt like laughing as his whole world fell apart, Hades assures her that he understands. The two arrive to a vaction home Persephone would stay in with Demeter as a child before Persephone notices Hades' hand has not yet reverted back to nomral after his transformation.

Hades takes Persephone outside.

Hades assures her not to worry about it as they make their way inside. Persephone sees her old loom and offers to make Hades something but as Hades states he would like that, he asks Persephone if she still wanted to talk to him. Persephone comes to the conclusion she has revealed enough for one day and suggest they sleep but Hades apologizes to her for his earlier reaction and hopes she isnt afraid to confide in him anymore. She assures Hades that his outrage didn't affect her and that she was actually fascinated with the idea of what he could do to Apollo but she doesn't want to feel that way.

The two go to bed as she insisted but Persephone is unable to sleep and works on her loom. Hades eventually wakes up and questions if she slept at all before noticing she was crying over finishing her design. Hades pulls her in his arms and hugs her, allowing her to cry more before he takes her outside and tells her that she could tell him as much or as little as she wants too. After some time, she talks to him about the assault and asks what he thinks to which Hades states that his thoughts on the matter are the last thing she should worry about. As Persephone explains she wanted to simultaneously tell Hades every day and never tell him, she is relieved to not keep a secret from him but reveals her fear of Hades' feelings towards her being different now that she told him.

Hades makes Persephone laugh.

Hades tells her that he feels let her down and was blind to her struggles before describing her as the warmest and kindest being he's ever met and assures her that the assault was never her fault and couldn't change how he sees and feels about her. As he feels he's been useless to her, he apolgizes for how he apporach the topic at the hotel before she argues that Hades had been helping her every day without knowing but wished she could have told him herself instead. Hades asks if she was sure he didn't want him to kill Apollo to which she answers no and explains her confusion on how she wants to handle Apollo. She wishes to focus on her mental health for the time being as she experiences days where she feels as though she is doing better and others where she is worse.

Persephone shows Hades her mother's homebrewed ambrosia and offers it to Hades, which he accepts only to hate the taste immediately but allows Persephone to laugh. As the two lay down on the ground, Hades attempts to comfort Persephone by telling her how diamond are created and that she herself is like a diamond. As Persephone was confused by his comparison, she teases Hades for comparing her to a lump of coal. Flustered, Hades tries to correct himself by stating he what he meant to say was she would grow stronger after everything she has been experiencing. The two then fall asleep outside once Persephone grabbed his arm and he holds her.

Persephone is the first to wake up, alarmed when she notices Helios staring at the two. Once she wakes up Hades, he quickly shields Persephone and angerily ask Helios why he was watching the two but Helios ignores the question by stating how interesting it was to catch the Goddess of Spring canoodling with Hades. While Hades is annoyed by Helios, Persephone is angry at Helios for telling Zeus about her act of wrath, especially since she made him a homemade birthday card every year.

Friends

Krokos and Withy

Persephone hugging Krokos and Withy.

Persephone created Krokos and Withy as a child and from then on, the three were always together. They shared a strong bond and although Persephone loved them like sisters, she wished to have time alone and would attempt to escape them to no avail. After a fight with Demeter, the two nymphs followed Persephone and out of anger, yelled at the two to leave her alone. Seconds after, Persephone witness their deaths and brought down in tears before running off to discover mortals had uprooting their plants, to which flower nymphs lives are connected too. Their deaths would lead Persephone to unintentionally commit an act of wrath and kill many mortals in anger and confusion.

Once in Olympus, Persephone would frequently bring up her home life in the Mortal Realm and Krokos and Withy. When talking to Hades about her act of wrath, she talks about the nympths and breaks down when she recalls that the last thing she told them was to leave her alone, showing deep regret for her words. When Demeter and Persephone are put on trial, Hades points out how their deaths were seemingly never public knowledge which made it seem as though Persephone had committed her act of wrath without any cause. As Persephone remembers them, she is brought to tears and admits she tries not to think of them as it causes her pain.

Artemis

Artemis is Persephone's roommate and close friend. It was Artemis who helped Persephone come to live in Olympus. Realizing that Persephone's mother, Demeter, was overbearing and smothering, she stood up to her and offered Persephone a room with her in the city so that she wouldn't have to commute to college. Despite their somewhat clashing personalities, the two appear to get along well. Although Artemis wants Persephone to experience freedom away from her mother and does so by having Persephone join her at the party and giving her a cellphone despite Demeter's protest against them. Although Artemis is allowing more freedom, is also very protective of her and is often strict when reminding her of what she can and can't do as TGOEM candidate, including having men in the house.

After Hades returns Persephone back home the morning after the party, Artemis is furious and orders her to get out of his car before dragging her back inside. When Eros arrives to apologize for getting Persephone drunk and putting her in the back of Hades' car, the three of them go shopping despite Artemis initially dislike of Eros as he is the God of Love and Sex and was insisting Persephone has a crush on Hades. The two eventually end up meeting with Apollo, Artemis' twin brother, and Hermes, the latter which Persephone already knew and was friends with.

When the guy's tease Persephone about her night with Hades, Artemis quickly defends her and although men are not supposed to enter her home, she males the expectance for Apollo and Hermes. Despite this, she angrily orders Apollo to stop making Persephone uncomfortable. Tragically, Apollo would sexually assault Persephone and Persephone, feeling confused and scared, decides to not tell Artemis. Later that night, Persephone would call Hades and be on the phone with him until they fell asleep. Artemis would discover this and remain quiet despite being uncomfortable over Persephone's growing attraction to him.

Artemis doesn't understand Persephone's crush.

After Hestia discovers an article about Persephone and Hades, Artemis attempted to calm Hestia down but the damage was done. By the time Persephone arrives, Artemis is powerless as Hestia screams and brings Persephone to tears. The following day, Artemis becomes wary of Persephone's growing relationship with Hades, bringing up the late-night phone call, after a discussion with Apollo and is furious when she discovers Hermes in Persephone room while she changes. When discovering Hermes has already seen Persephone naked many times, as a result of the two going skinny dipping in the Mortal Realm, she orders him to leave and talks to Persephone. Persephone becomes feud up with Artemis talking down Hades and is about to reveal the truth about Apollo before she decides to leave instead.

When Persephone comes home work, Artemis makes a cake as an apologize and the girls make up but Persephone admits to her that she does indeed have a crush on Hades, much to her disappointment. When Artemis ask her about TGOEM, Persephone reveals she plans on not acting on those feeling especially when he has a girlfriend. With Eros now there, Persephone breakdown and Artemis, feeling that Hades is just as worse as his brothers and is playing around with Persephone's feelings, leaves to key their cars. Later on, when Hades ask her if she wanted to be a TGOEM member, Persephone admits she is unsure but that she does greatly admire Artemis as she is respected and viewed as powerful.

The girls and Hades asleep.

When Hades arrives at the apartment to see Persephone, he quickly covers up the reason why he and Persephone were alone together by saying he was making a donation. Hestia invites himself inside which, making Artemis angry and has to talk to Hestia in the kitchen. Artemis explains how she cannot stand Hades and looking at him makes her body burn, actually proving this as steam was coming out of her. Persephone is frustrated over this as she and Hades had confessed their feelings for one another but set boundaries from going any further. Hades, Persephone, and Artemis have no choice but to hear Hestia's presentation which seemingly puts them all to sleep.

Artemis pleads with Persephone.

Not long after, Artemis confronts Persephone her relationship with Apollo, sensing they don't get along, but ask her to try as he is her brother. Out of respect for Artemis, Persephone tells Apollo off when they are alone and tells him that she will not ruin his relationship with his sister by telling her the truth and she would only acknowledge him on Fridays as he comes over to see Artemis those nights. However, the plan does not last long as Apollo blackmails Persephone shortly after with pictures of the assault and drives Persephone to run away from home.

After learning that Persephone has disappeared, Eros and Hades reveal that Persephone has been struggling with many things in the last weeks, making Artemis feels intense guilt as she initially believed she was "always happy." When Persephone's act of wrath is brought to light and the warrant for her arrest is put out, Eros tells Persephone that Artemis did not come to visit her because she is a "squeaky clean Olympian" and would be obligated to bring Persephone in.

When Persephone later calls Artemis from her new phone, Artemis asks Persephone to come home, telling her that they will go to Zeus together. Persephone tries her best to be honest with Artemis and reveals to her that the reason she can't return home is because of Apollo, who she hates. She explains that she doesn't want to ruin their sibling relationship, but that she cannot be around him, although she is unable to tell Artemis what Apollo did to her. Persephone hangs up before Artemis can respond and breaks down crying.

Unknown to Persephone, this causes Artemis to go after Apollo and demands answers but he claims the two were in a secret flirtatious relationship that has ended with Persephone making up rumors. Artemis is greatly upset with Apollo as he was aware of Persephone position as TGOEM candidate. When their Mother Leto arrives, she gaslights Artemis by getting her to ask if she would trust Persephone over her brother, causing her to leave. Leto then tries to get Persephone to agree to marry Apollo when she visits her in the Underworld but Persephone not only dismisses her but claims that Artemis is the only reason why she didn't summon Hades to have her removed. When Persephone attends her first therapy secession, she reveals she is scared to lose her friendship with Artemis if she decides to leave TGOEM.

While Leto was visiting Persephone, Artemis was trying to get answers from Hermes about Apollo and Persephone's relationship. After seemingly not getting closer to answers, she arrives to witness Persephone's trial. When it is revealed, Thanatos had broken into their house, both goddesses express great anger over this violation. As Hades comes to Persephone's defense, he mentions Artemis and Apollo's act of wrath which was also done without a permit but unlike Persephone, faced no severe punishment and were instead rewarded with medals.

Eros

Eros and Persephone hugging.

Eros is one of Persephone's best friends. Although Eros was the one who got Persephone drunk and snuck her into Hades' car, he was doing so on the orders of Aphrodite and feels guilt about it. He later arrives at Artemis' house to apologize to Persephone, and ends up telling both of them his story involving Psyche. He is able to quickly realize that Persephone has a crush on Hades, which he begins to playfully tease her about. After finding out she has almost no modern clothes, he insists on taking her shopping. The two quickly become close friends, and Persephone begins to rely on him when she is upset. Eros has been there for her many times, including when she was emotionally distraught over Hades and Minthe's official relationship status.

He is also the first-person Persephone talks about her encounter with Apollo. Eros is devastated for her and assures her that what happened was not her fault and that she did not consent. He comforts her afterward at his home and reluctantly agrees to not tell anyone on the condition Persephone see a therapist. In the following morning, he introduces her to his siblings and as they leave the house, he thanks her for making him realize he was ready to see Psyche after weeks of separation.

Eros comforting Persephone.

Eros has continually shown to care deeply for Persephone, later protecting her when she is arguing with Apollo. Persephone, likewise, easily seeks consolation from Eros and has shown that she is rather comfortable around him. When Persephone goes missing, Artemis first looks for her at Eros' place. Artemis, Eros, and Ampelus, hatch a plan to fool Demeter and find Persephone in a few days before there is suspicion over her disappearance. Despite their close friendship, when Hera ask what Persephone's major was, both he and Artemis were unable to answer. When Persephone is found, Eros is the first to visit her, and brings her food, books, and facemasks to entertain her. He assures her that while he should bring her in to Zeus, he will not do so and claims Zeus does not control him.

Sometime later, Persephone would text him about her kisses with Hades which leaves Eros squealing with happiness for his best friend. When Artemis confronts him about what he knows about Persephone and Apollo, Eros remains silent to keep his promise to her. Despite losing his new friendship with Artemis, he has no regrets as he doesn't want to lose Persephone's trust when many others do not trust him with his reputation of being Olympus's biggest gossipmonger.

Not long after, Persephone's trial for her act of wrath begins and he arrives with his parents.

Hera

Persephone admires Hera, and the two have a friendly relationship. Hera is very protective of Persephone. She was irate when she overheard Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon talking lewdly about Persephone while disguised as a Nymph in a club, shoving the picture of Apollo and Persephone (that Apollo took against her will) in Hades' face. She has come to regret this action after realizing that Hades respects Persephone as a person. After her husband suggests that she help get Hades and Persephone together, she is reluctant because of their age difference but changes her mind after catching Persephone talking to Hades' portrait. It is Hera who signs off on Persephone's Underworld internship with the intent of getting them closer. Although Hera does eventually approve of Hades and Persephone's growing relationship, she comments that Persephone would make a wonderful daughter-in-law if she would marry one of her sons.

Hera learns about Persephone's trauma.

Hera is the only one who knows something tragic has happened to Persephone and is the only one who suspects Apollo has something to do with it. She is determined to help Persephone and refuses to sign off on Apollo's marriage request. She appears to be gathering evidence against him. When she finally confronts Persephone about her theory and Persephone confirms Apollo's assault, Hera is devastated. After learning that Apollo has blackmail photos on Persephone, which is preventing Persephone from coming forward with her story, she gets her son, Hephaestus, to hack into Apollo's phone and delete the photos.

When discovering Hades and Hera's past relationship from Leto, Persephone breaks down in tears. She shows no anger at either party for their long-time affair but instead believes that Hera will forever be better than her in every way, especially since she's the Queen. It's this discovery that leads Persephone to speak to a therapist. After confronting Hades about the affair, she reveals she still looks up to Hera but can't help but feel jealous and inadequate when it comes to her.

When Persephone's trial begins, Hera is shown to be watching the trial from an unknown location alongside Hecate.

Hermes

Persephone and Hermes are old friends, having met as Hermes' role as a messenger brought him to the Mortal Realm frequently. Like several other Gods, Hermes was unaware that Demeter had a daughter. After a long day of traveling, Hermes stunk so badly that Demeter and others found him repulsive. He chose to take a quick bath on Demeter's property before returning home but he soon notices Persephone in the water and hiding from him. He assumed she was a flower nymph but she corrects him by clarifying she's a Goddess after she comes out from hiding.

Persephone recognize him as Hermes and how is she surprised to see he stayed around much longer than the other Gods that come to Demeter's land. Hermes explains how he think Demeter is hiding something to which she agrees because it is her that Demeter is hiding. Hermes is confused by this until Persephone reveals herself as Demeter's daughter, much to his shock.

Persephone and Hermes become friends.

He comes to realize in the few minutes he's spoken to her that he has trespassed, misunderstood her station, interrupted her bath, and was completely naked in the water. Persephone playfully states that the situation was a scandal, to which Hermes ask what she wants in return for her silence so Demeter never finds out. Not long after Hermes returns with a set of encyclopedias that he claims Athena ordered by mistake and ask Demeter if she knew anyone else who wanted them. However, Demeter quickly realized he had met Persephone.

Hermes apologizes for his deception and quickly states he understood why Demeter hid her away from the deathless gods. He compliments Persephone and revealed that seeing her provoked him to bring a suitable gift for her. Seeing as he already met her, Demeter allows Hermes to give Persephone the encyclopedia but warns him that she is a candidate for TGOEM or reveal her existence on Olympus. As it turns out, what Persephone truly wanted was to be friends with Hermes but fearing her mother would be against it, created the scheme as a way for Demeter to feel she outsmarted Hermes by "discovering" he has already met Persephone before arriving with a gift Demeter would approve.

The two became close friends in the course of a few months and keep parts of their friendship very secretive from Demeter as their activities involved going skinny dipping and Hermes giving Persephone contraband. Hermes grew to have genuine feelings for her, showing to have small crush on her which Demeter had seemed to pick up on but not Persephone. Despite his crush on her, Hermes made no effort to divert her from TGOEM and kept his promise by keeping her existence a secret. He came to see the straining relationship between Persephone and Demeter and came to the conclusion that Demeter was rising her was mortal, which he believed would lead to a dangerous road.

After finding Persephone had accidentally committed the act of wrath, Hermes came to Demeter and Persephone's aid and spent hours with Demeter to calm her down before she reverts back to her original form. Hermes was deeply confused how Persephone had committed the act and would see she felt a deep guilt for the lives she took. The following day, Hermes was 'willing' to manipulate the records for soul collecting after Demeter bribed him too but also used his crush on Persephone against him.

Hermes and Persephone meet again in Olympus.

When Persephone comes to Olympus, the two are thrilled to see each other again and share a hug. When Persephone speaks of her time with Hades in the Underworld and Apollo, Hermes' best friend and roommate, attempts to get her to believe Hades was only being kind to her so he can sleep with her, Hermes tells him to leave her alone. When she slips with a knife when cooking, he appears worried and comes quickly to her aid. Unknown to Hermes at the time, that night Apollo sexually assaulted her while he was fast asleep in the living room. While he would wake up later when hearing Persephone on the phone with Hades, he would sneak away. Days later, Hermes would go visit Persephone and he psyches himself up to ask her to come with him to work, which she accepts. He would go to her room while she changed which infuriate Artemis when she discovered Hermes has already seen Persephone plenty of times. Hermes also remembers her birthday, possibility being the only one who knew that day besides her Mother, and brings her a bouquet of balloons as a gift.

Hermes remembers Persephone's birthday.

When Zeus orders Hermes to grab Persephone from the Underworld, he goes but upon seeing her, he realizes he can't and leaves. Zeus becomes frustrated with Hermes, Hades, and Apollo's, (not knowing Ares was interested in her as well) infatuation with her and Hermes states her commitment to an academic education is what makes him attracted to her, much to Zeus's confusion. When Artemis arrives, frustrated with all the lies and secrets around her, she comes to Hermes for answers on Apollo and Persephone's relationship.

After the discussion, Hermes is visibly upset as he comes to realize he has missed several clues and fears something has happen but was blind to it. When seeing Apollo, the next morning, he starts to ask Apollo questions about the night he fell asleep in the living room while Apollo seemingly left without waking him up. Apollo claims to not remember and while Hermes seems suspicious, choses to let Apollo leave to find Artemis. Hermes later arrives to Hades' house in order to tell Persephone that Demeter has been captured and her trial would start the next day.

As Persephone's trial begins, Hermes is the first to talk on stand to explain his part in covering up Persephone's act of wrath and begins by telling the story of how they met. As Hermes concludes his story, he comments he would do everything again as he likes money but also reveals he likes Persephone. With his story done, he reveals that Thanatos played a part in reporting Persephone's act of wrath to Zeus and then leaves for Thanatos to go up next.

Hecate

A year prior to Persephone moving to Olympus, she met Hecate who took time off of work to study poisonous plants in the Mortal Realm and she stayed with her and her mother Demeter. Ever since, the two have sent letters to each other. In one letter, Persephone writes to Hecate and mentions that she misses her company very much and regrets that she had to cut her visit short. Hecate would keep this letter and later give to Hades which only confused him as it reveal the couple had met prior to the party, something Hecate was well aware of but never mentioned to him. Hecate was also aware of Persephone's act of wrath, keeping it a secret from everyone, including Hades.

Persephone and Hecate hugging at work.

When Hecate found a newspaper article about Hades and Persephone which showed Persephone leaving his house the morning after the party, she angrily confronts Hades about the events and tells him that she is not only 19 years old but the article would hurt her reputation and scholarship. Despite her initial anger at the idea Hades might have slept with her young friend, Hecate is able to see that the two are forming a strong bond. With Persephone interning at Underworld Corp, the two of them reunite and continue their friendship and Hecate starts to push Hades and Persephone together so they can get to know each other more. Alecto would point out how it's unlike Hecate to get involved but Hecate states she's doing what's best for the Underworld, meaning she believes Persephone is whats best for Hades and their realm.

When Persephone goes missing, Hades goes to Hecate who tries to reach her through her cellphone. Soon after, she joins Hades for the search and comforts him when seeing just how worried he is. When Zeus places a warrant out for Persephone and Demeter, Hecate, along with many others are in shock. Soon after, Hades would find her near hibernation and Hecate would do everything she could to help Persephone wake up and watched on as Hades pleaded with her to wake up. Once she woke up, Hecate would help Persephone in bed and promised Hades that she had no issue facing Zeus in regards to Persephone. Hecate would also leave Persephone cloths for her to change into when she felt better.

After seeing Demeter in the Underworld, Hecate would find Hades and Persephone trying to undo a curse Persephone accidently inflicted on Minthe that turned her into a plant. The two would talk and Hecate shares Persephone's concerns about telling Demeter that she is in the Underworld and living with Hades. Hecate also starts to believe Demeter's theory that Persephone is indeed a fertility goddess but decides to do research on it herself. Afterwards she hands Persephone a card to see a therapist to help her recalibrate how she sees herself and regain control.

As the trial for Persephone begins, Hecate arrives with Hades. Later on, Hecate join Hera in an unknown location and watch the trial as it unfolds and show concern over Persephone standing up to Demeter by stating she would not return to the Mortal Realm but stay in the Underworld.

Daphne

Persephone and Daphne reunited.

It is revealed that Daphne was one of the flower nymphs that used to accompany Persephone in the Mortal Realm. When they meet again while on Olympus, Daphne is thrilled to see her again, and the two share a hug. Their happy reunion is interrupted by the return of Apollo, and Daphne appears embarrassed by the awkwardness that ensues. Persephone is worried about her when she realizes she is dating Apollo and privately tells him to leave her alone.

Despite comforting Apollo after his and Persephone's "breakup", she holds no ill will towards Persephone and instead seems to value her as an old friend. She appears to not know that Persephone and Apollo were never dating in the first place and that Persephone, is in fact, a candidate for The Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood.

Daphne and Persephone talking about Hades and Thanatos.

During a date with Apollo, Daphne comes to realize that Apollo is still obsessed with Persephone and views her as a stand-in when he ignores what she has to say, continually talks about Persephone, and suggests Daphne cut her hair. After escaping the date and running into Thanatos, Daphne is annoyed by Thanatos' comments about her, and makes him think when she asks him why he cares so much about what he perceives as Persephone's "special treatment." When Thanatos and Daphne start dating, she brings him to the Underworld so she could visit Persephone and the flower nymphs. The two women catch up and asks questions about their love lives.

Unknow to Persephone, Daphne has discovered Apollo's assaults on Persephone and planned to out him to everyone but had no choice but to turn herself into a tree so Apollo could not kill her.

Megaera

Persephone comforts Megaera.

Megaera is a friend and coworker of Persephone at Underworld Corp. Megaera first sees Persephone in the tabloid with Hades, and as a result is jealous of her, believing she should be in Persephone's place. She goes as far as putting her face over Persephone's and changes the headlines of the tabloid. The two officially meet in an Underworld Corp locker room on the day they both find out that Hades' relationship with Minthe is official. Persephone hears her crying and asks her what is wrong.

After Persephone encourages Megaera to open up about her problems, she confides in Persephone that the guy she likes is dating someone else. Persephone then compliments Megaera, telling her that she's a "rare beauty". Megaera warms up to Persephone and the two quickly bond. Megaera is then willing to lend Persephone her Mortal Realm clothing.

After Persephone started officially working at Underworld Corp, Megaera decides to stop by her working area to wish her a happy birthday, and tells her to not stay at work too long. The two would be seen socially in the workplace from then on out and form a close friendship. It would seem that Megaera has gotten over her crush on Hades or at the very least, accepts Persephone as the one Hades' loves. When Persephone's trial begins, Megaera is shown to be arriving with Hades and Hecate in support of Persephone. When the day ends, Megaera sneaks Persephone loukoumi so she can have some during her stay at a hotel.

Professional

Thanatos

Thanatos and Persephone are coworkers. Their first encounter involves him grabbing her arm and pulling her aside to get into a crowded train. Persephone is exasperated, yelling through the door that Thanatos has wings and therefor has no need for the train. After seeing Persephone through the surveillance camera of Tartarus, Thanatos asks Hecate who she is and is shocked and embarrassed when she informs him that 'girl' is no girl but a woman who is the daughter of Demeter and a direct descendant of the 6 Traitors Dynasty.

Thanatos and Persephone meet.

When Hades introduces Persephone as a new intern from Olympus, Thanatos is skeptical but this does not stop him from wanting to eat Persephone's baklava, which she reluctantly allows on her first day. After witnessing Hades and Persephone having a moment, he starts to believe Persephone is receiving special treatment from Hades, furthering his hatred of how Olympians get special treatment. After Minthe has an abusive episode towards Hades, Thanatos decides to dig dirt on Persephone to discover who she truly is, as he believes she's using her position to climb up the social ladder. When he finds out her name was changed from Kore (maiden) to Persephone (bringer of death), he begins to believe she has a dark secret. He goes as far as breaking into her apartment to find her ledger and then involving Minthe and Thetis.

When Persephone attempts to formally introduce herself to Thanatos at work, however, he is short with her and refuses to help her figure out the software. Not long after, he attempts to gather information from Hermes but is instead threaten and warned to stay out of their business. After meeting Apollo, he takes him to meet Helios, who tells him about Persephone's act of wrath. He comes back to tell Minthe and Thetis what he discovered before going to tell Zeus in hopes Persephone suffers the consequences. This would greatly backfire on him as Thanatos discovers Hades has chosen Persephone and would stand with her against Zeus, something the three were unprepared for.

When he meets Daphne, a flower nymph and longtime friend of Persephone's, she gets him to ask himself him why it bothered him so much that she was getting special treatments from Hades to which he is caught off guard and left speechless. Daphne gives him her number, wanting him to think it over and call her when he wanted to get his life together. He does just that and the two spend more time together, allowing him to distance himself from Minthe and Thetis and come to regret his actions. Not long after, Daphne and him enter a relationship and she brings him to the Underworld where she can see Persephone and her other friends. As the night ends, Daphne and the other nymphs talk about the happy couple which results in him feeling guilty and fearing what happens when the truth is revealed.

Thanatos gets Persephone a chair.

As Persephone and Demeter's trial begins, Hermes reveals that Thanatos had reported Persephone to Zeus much to Persephone's shock. As Hades begins to questions Thanatos, he reveals his suspicions about Persephone because of the fact she received her internship by Hera when he believed she was underqualified while becoming close friends with Hades and the fact her name meant "Destroyer of Men." When Thetis arrives with a cursed Minthe, she claims Thanatos was the one who came up with the plan. Thanatos, fed up with just how far this has gone on, snaps at Thetis and is distraught over the fact that all of this could have been avoided if he had simply written an email.

Thetis, not willingly to let Thanatos bring her down, reveals Thanatos was the one who went to Helios for questioning but had also broken into Persephone's bedroom. Hearing this enrages Persephone and others with Hades demanding to know why he did it. Thanatos reveals he stole her ledger and Zeus brings it out to show he now has possession of it. When Zeus claims the ledger proved Persephone was using Hades, Persephone defends herself by telling Hades and the court the truth about a project she wished to present to Hades. Hades believes Persephone and then orders Thanatos to get her a chair and does so immediately.

Enemies

Apollo

Persephone is the roommate of Apollo's twin sister, Artemis. When he first meets her, he immediately begins to hit on her. When he learns that she spent the night in the Underworld with Hades, he makes it a point to belittle her and her new friendship with the King of the Underworld due to slight jealousy. Persephone feels uneasy around him, and is often intimidated by his overbearing personality.

The same night that they meet, Apollo pressures and coerces Persephone into sleeping with him. Persephone, heavy with confusion and doubt over this perceived "freedom", is unable to stave off his advances. When Apollo finishes, he tells Persephone not to forget that she is "his girl," and walks out of the room, leaving Persephone confused and violated. As Persephone is slated to become a member of TGOEM, which requires a vow of celibacy, she is especially conflicted and does not at first realize Apollo has assaulted her. Apollo continues to harass Persephone, seeming to believe they are in a relationship. He shows up unannounced to drive Persephone home from her classes and often comes to the house looking for her.

Persephone hates Apollo.

In Episode 97, Apollo claims he has feelings for Persephone. When Persephone is unable to make him realize she doesn't like him, she shows him his lyre, which she had stolen to break. Apollo is shocked and distressed that his lyre is now ruined. She tells him that his broken lyre represents a small fraction of her hate towards him. After an confrontation, Apollo claims Persephone doesn't have to love him to be his wife. He also believes Persephone is a fertility goddess and tells her she either knows that and is lying to herself or her mother is hiding it from her.

Persephone is still scared of Apollo, but Eros and "Ampelus" arrive to drive Apollo away telling him to leave her alone. He appears unfazed by the interruption and simply states "see you next Friday", mocking what Persephone stated earlier about Friday being the only time she acknowledges him when he comes to visit his sister. Although he wants to marry Persephone, it appears this is only to fuel his own ego: by marrying a descendant of the Six Traitors, he is further supporting his fame as an Olympian. It is also hinted, though not confirmed, that he may want to consume her so he can gain her powers and become the next ruler of the gods as he came to realize she was a Fertility Goddess during the argument.

In Episode 113, Persephone is horrified to learn Apollo has begun dating Daphne. She warns him to stay away from her, but Apollo responds that he is simply doing what Persephone asked by making someone else "his Olympian." In response, Persephone tells him she will reveal to both Daphne and Artemis what Apollo did to her. Apollo then threatens her with the pictures that he took of her during her assault, claiming that he will expose her breaking her vow of celibacy if she tells anyone. Later on, he asked Hera for his blessing to marry Persephone and is rejected by her causing him to be more obsessive wanting to be a worthy suitor for Demeter's daughter as he left despite being warned and ordered by Demeter to stay away from her, which he never listens. Persephone also calls him a "pig" for invading her personal space.

In Episode 143, Apollo is still obsessive with Persephone unaware that she is hiding from him and still unaware of Aetna deleting the files of his pictures of her and destroying the apps on cellphone under the orders of Hera and her son, Hephaestus to prevent his blackmailing habits and not knowing where Persephone's location is despite her hiding in the Underworld. However, he is unaware that both Persephone and Hades are now dating as a couple which will lead to his downfall because of what he did.

After a discussion with his mother, Leto decides to go and talk to Persephone in his place as she believes the two had a relationship but ended horribly and Persephone not giving Apollo another chance. This fails as Leto comes to realize that either Apollo lied about the relationship or was delusional and that the only way to marry her was to have Zeus hand her over. This would be difficult as Persephone was now in love with Hades. Despite this, Leto still wishes to help Apollo and does so by showing him that she caught Demeter as a bird and trapped her in a cage. Apollo delivers Demeter and Zeus decides to reconsider the marriage but Apollo took it as a yes and has started to tell the paparazzi that the engagement will be underway soon.

As the trial begins, she discovers that Apollo has petition Zeus in order to marry her from a reporter which prompts Persephone to call it pathetic. While she seems calm about it, once she is alone with Hades, she panics over the chance of Zeus marrying her off to Apollo. Hades arrives to confront his brother, unaware Apollo was present, and states that Hades and Persephone had played house long enough. When Hades accidentally calls Persephone his wife, Apollo comments on his statement which causes Hades to become bashful and stutter. Before the argument can go further, Zeus orders Apollo to leave and tells his brothers he only planned on reconsidering the marriage but never planned going through it.

As the first day of the trial ends, Hades overhears Apollo talking about the assault and leaves shortly after to talk to Persephone. Although she tries to get Hades to drop the subject, she has a change of heart and reveals everything. Hades is outrage and transfromed into a Titan-sized being to confront Apollo but is stopped by Persephone as hurting Apollo would not make her feel better. As Hades calms down and takes Persephone to the Mortal Realm, Persephone reveals that she is fasincated at the idea of what Hades can do to him but hates that she feels that way.

After staying up late, Hades finds Persephone crying over her finishing her work on the loom before he takes her outside. She then tells him about the assault and towards the end, he ask her again if she was sure she didn't want him to kill Apollo. Persephone confides in him her confusion on how she wants to handle Apollo as there are days she wants revenage, others to confront him one on one, or avoid him completely. Until she is sure, she decides to focus on her own health and acknowledges it will take her time to heal.

Minthe

Minthe is Hades' personal assistant and on-again, off-again girlfriend long before Persephone arrived. After seeing Persephone and Hades's picture in the papers, Minthe becomes jealous of Persephone's connection with Hades and as a result, is vindictive and rude towards her. On Persephone's first day at Underworld Corp, Persephone is actually amazed when seeing Minthe, saying she's beautiful and thin, and becomes self-conscious about her own looks. Minthe gives her directions that ended up being a ruse that led her to a restricted area where she was put in danger.

Minthe does not like seeing Persephone and Hades' together.

Minthe comes to regret her actions, especially after learning who Persephone really is but she is quick to become angry when she sees Hades holding Persephone in his arms as they leave Tower 4. Minthe especially becomes upset when Hades gives Persephone a formal introduction speech as the Underworld new intern when none of their previous ones have ever gotten one. Minthe then finds the two laughing and holding hands afterwards but they quickly stopped when they noticed her, When Hades introduces the two women, Minthe is shocked to learn that Persephone has not told Hades what she did and is rather confused when Persephone pretends to have not met her minutes earlier.

Despite Minthe not wanting to marry Hades, having found an engagement ring the night of the party which was also when Hades and Persephone met, she becomes fearful of Hades choosing Persephone over her. She goes to Hades and Hades, despite admitting to having strong feelings for Persephone, decides to give his relationship with Minthe another chance, although he admits it's more out of guilt.

The next day, Hades and Minthe start an "official" relationship and Minthe rubs it in Persephone's face by kissing Hades in front of her and talking about all the great things he does for her. When Hades ask Persephone how she got to Tartarus, she briefly imagined Hades ending things with Minthe but quickly snaps out of idea and doesn't reveal it was Minthe, out of concern for the repercussions Minthe would face. Even after Hades and Persephone admit to having feelings for one another, Persephone reveals how horrible she feels for not caring or thinking about Minthe. As much as Persephone and Hades care for one another, both agree that Minthe should not be cheated on and Persephone decides to set boundaries with Hades for Minthe's sake. Persephone would be unaware of Minthe's violent attack on Hades days ago.

Minthe refuses to help Persephone.

After Hades breaks up with Minthe, she tells him that the relationship would never workout but this doesn't change his mind on the breakup. She blames Persephone for it and vows to get Hades back while Persephone is overcome with guilt after she finds out from Eros, but Hades assures her that the breakup wasn't her fault. When Thanatos started digging up dirt on Persephone, he found her ledger and shows it to Minthe and they soon begin to plot Persephone's demise. At work, Persephone blackmails Minthe that she'll show the map she gave her on her first day to Hecate if she refused to show her how to use computer programs. Minthe begins to tell her how Hades was loving in the beginning of their relationship as well, but he'll soon come back to her when he see's Persephone isn't the girl, he thought she is.

When Thanatos tells Minthe about Persephone's act of wrath, she, Thanatos, and Thetis tell Zeus what Persephone did and how Demeter covered it up, with Minthe having a dark smirk thinking once Persephone is punished by Zeus, Hades will come back to her. However when Hades scolds Minthe about packing Persephone's things and that she isn't fired, Minthe is infuriated that Hades still cares for Persephone and angrily called Thetis telling her Hades is completely clueless about what Persephone did, meaning Zeus never told his brother, and Minthe tells her if her plan fails, it will all backfire on the trio, which can hint that they either lied about Persephone's act of wrath, exaggerated the story or lied by omission; details proven when Persephone reveals to Hades that the majority of it had been accidental.

When Hermes discovered the trio had told Zeus, he becomes angry and then tells Minthe that Persephone is Hades's favor, meaning he'll never chose Minthe over her. Unknowingly to Minthe, Hades has taken Persephone in and is keeping her in the Underworld so she isn't arrested by Zeus and he brings her to work although no one can tell because he gave her a cloak of invisibility. Believing that Hades is upset over the news of Persephone, describing her as being too "wrathful" for him, she shows up to Hades' office with nothing but a trench coat and lingerie underneath it. Hades quickly rejects her advances and dismisses her. She leaves in anger and misses Persephone removing the cloak which revealed she had witnessed the entire event.

Minthe scared of Persephone.

Minthe would later attend a yoga class with Thetis, seeing Thanatos after he been MIA since he started seeing the flower nymph Daphne. There she meets two employees at a clothing store who witness Hades and Persephone having a make-out session and tell Minthe that she is the only being in the Underworld that isn't aware of their relationship. Minthe, now starting to become undone with everyone talking about the new couple, their kiss, and refusing to lose Hades, sees Hades at her desk.

Minthe tries to relive their past history but Hades wishes to talk about a job transfer, believing it would be easier for her to move on from their relationship. She goes off on Hades asking if Persephone is there and if Persephone was the one who was behind this idea. During her rant, she let it slip unknowingly in front of Persephone that she told Zeus about Persephone's act of wrath, and ruining her mother's and her life in the process. This, unfortunately for her, finally pushes an enraged Persephone over the edge, resulting in her being chased down and getting her turned into a pot of mint. Despite this, Persephone shows deep regret and is trying everything she can to reverse the transformation. After many failed attempts by her and Hades, she apologizes to Minthe and accepts the two are now responsible to keep her safe.

During her trial, Thetis arrives after breaking into Hades' house to bring Minthe and prove that Persephone was dangerous. Although Thetis claims Persephone "murdered" Minthe, Persephone corrects her by stating that she had accidentally cursed her. When Zeus asks if she could reverse it, Persephone admits she needs more time.

Leto

Persephone refuses to hear Leto.

Leto is the mother of Apollo and Artemis. Apollo has led Leto to believe that Apollo and Persephone were in a relationship that was leading to Persephone to become her daughter-in-law but was now refusing to see Apollo because he upset her. Leto then volunteer to sneak into the Underworld to find Persephone and speak on behalf of Apollo. Persephone would soon recognize Leto was not a member of her mother's farm and confront her. Leto would attempt to explain why Apollo and her would make a good match before revealing herself as his mother. Leto pushes the matter by explaining how Persephone could not live in the Underworld as there is no sunlight for her and how Hades has seduced her with his wealth. Furious, Persephone states that she wants nothing to do with her or Apollo and that Artemis is the only reason she doesn't call Hades to remove her.

Leto reminds Persephone that if Demeter were to ever discover her relationship with Hades, it would ruin their relationship and then mentions that Hades once proposed to Hera and carried on an affair years after. After demanding Leto leaves, Persephone was left stunned and heartbroken after learning of Hades and Hera's past relationship. Unknown to Persephone, Leto had found Demeter in the Underworld, disguising herself as bird, and trap her in a cage.

When Apollo comes to see his mother in the Mortal Realm, Leto comes to the realization that either Apollo has lied to her about his relationship with Persephone or he's delusional. Despite Persephone clear message of not wanting to be with Apollo, Leto wishes for Apollo to get everything he wants. She then shows him that she has trapped Demeter and wants Apollo to use her as leverage to get back into Zeus's good side and possibly receive Persephone as a bride.

Thetis

Thetis is Minthe's best friend and although Persephone and Thetis have had no personal interaction with each other, Thetis has been a source of great torment for Persephone and others revolving her. Upon discovering the article about Persephone spending the night at Hades', she sent it to Minthe and taunted her that she needed to be careful or risk Hades leaving her. Although the situation was cleared between Hades and Minthe and the two declared an official relationship, Thetis was furious at the idea that Minthe could be doing better than her. Thetis would plant seeds of doubt into Minthe by claiming Hades purposely hired Persephone as an interned so he could have her around at all times.

When Thetis arrives to visit Minthe after her abusive episode towards Hades, Minthe believes Hades is with Persephone at the moment to which Thetis claims that Goddess like Persephone aren't infallible. When Thanatos takes it upon himself to break into Artemis and Persephone's house to find proof that she was hiding something, he goes to Thetis before the two go to Minthe. While Thanatos would go to Helios for answers, Thetis would be the one to form their plan to tell Zeus about her unauthorized act of wrath so Hades could see what Persephone did and get back together with Minthe.

When Minthe discovers that Zeus had yet to tell Hades about Persephone, she calls Thetis and threatens to let Thetis take fall for her plan if it failed. Although she would fail to trick Zeus, he would tell Hades and Poseidon not long after which only infuriates Hades after Zeus threatens to punish Persephone. As he leaves the meeting, Thetis mistakes his anger as a sign of victory. She later visits Minthe and Thanatos to tells them of Persephone's future trial and excitedly tells them that Persephone could be facing a punishment like Prometheus.

Not long after, Minthe and Thanatos come to realize the plan wasn't working, resulting in Thanatos to avoid them as he started to date Daphne, a flower nymph that was also a friend of Persephone. When hearing about Minthe failed attempted to Hades back and Thanatos witnessing Hades and Persephone together, Thetis was angry to not know this from Minthe. When other members of their yoga class talk about Hades and Persephone growing relationship, Thetis suggest that she and Minthe avoid each other for some time.

Thetis and Persephone meet at the trial.

Persephone's trial would mark the first time the two-meet face to face. As Thanatos gives his testimony, he reveals that it was Thetis who came up with the plan from the very beginning. Thetis arrives shortly after with Minthe, who was now accidentally cursed by Persephone to be a plant. She arrives in tears and attempts to put the blame on Thanatos and Minthe and she had only helped them because of her "commitment to justice." Although Persephone defends herself by stating Minthe wasn't dead but cursed, Thetis claims she had done it so she could be with Hades and is dangerous.

Thanatos, now fed up with Thetis and how far the three of them went, further states that she really wanted to end Hades and Persephone's relationship so Minthe could get back together with Hades and be able to join her at the country club Zeus would take her. Unwillingly to go down for her scheme, Thetis reveals Thanatos going to Helios and breaking into Persephone's room to steal her ledger.

Others

Helios

While their full relationship is unknown, Persephone would create a homemade birthday cade to Helios every year. Helios witness her act of wrath first hand and when asked about it from Thanatos and Zeus, tells them what he saw. After taking Persephone to the Mortal Realm after the first day of the trial ends, Persephone and Hades fall asleep outside. The following morning, Persephone wakes up and is alarmed when she sees Helios staring down at the two. Once Hades wakes up, he quickly shields Persephone from his view but Helios is interested seeing that Persephone and Hades canoodling. While Hades is annoyed by Helios, Persephone is angry at Helios for telling Zeus about her act of wrath, especially since she made him a homemade birthday card every year to which Helios admits they were nothing impress and that his life in captivity is boring.

Hestia

Hestia is proud that Persephone has chosen the path of a sacred virgin, although Persephone feels as if the choice is not quite her own, telling Hades she has been "groomed" to join Hestia's organization. Hestia is later disappointed when she finds out Persephone slept at Hades' house, believing that Persephone hasn't been taking her duties seriously. After being scolded by Hestia and having Hades' gift confiscated, Persephone was left in tears and holding the hair comb Hades gave her, relieved that Hestia was not aware of the comb's significate. She remains tense around her and even tells Artemis that Hestia is a jerk. Persephone later determines she no longer wants to be a part of The Goddesses of Eternal Maidenhood, although she struggles with guilt over the scholarship she has been given and is unable to reveal her feelings about this to Hestia.

Hestia makes Persephone cry over the article.

Hestia would almost scold Persephone again when she came home wearing Hades's coat and Hades showed up at the house, wanting to talk to Persephone. While Hades was quick to help cover for Persephone, Hestia praised Persephone for being able to get Hades to make a donation but also took the chance to humiliate her by doing a slideshow to remind everyone, mainly her, what their organization is for. Once the presentation was over, she did surprise Persephone with her ceremonial dress for her to wear when they make her a member, While Persephone was pleased with the gown, her happiness soon turned to sadness when she noticed Hades left.

It appears Hestia may feel guilt herself; she is shown with a guilty look on her face after seeing petals produced from Persephone's powers. This may indicate that Hestia is aware of Persephone's status as a fertility goddess, and she may feel wrong for having Persephone train as a sacred virgin. It is possible she is only doing it as a gesture to Demeter but she has yet to reveal anything.

In Episode 135, both her and Athena are relieved that Persephone is staying in the Underworld safe and sound and has assures her not to worry about the scholarship. It's later revealed that despite her anger over Persephone and Hades' growing relationship, Hestia has broken her own rule on relationships as Artemis soon realizes that Hestia and Athena are in a relationship and questions if she was the only one taking the maidenhood commitment seriously.

Ares

Ares met Persephone in the Mortal Realm, back when she was still called Kore. He fell from the sky and was impaled on a tree. Kore was alerted by the flower nymphs and went alone to help him. She saved him and, without realizing it, healed his wounds. He was enchanted by her and decided to seek her out, later finding her while she was enjoying her rare alone time. He managed to convince her he couldn't read so that she would teach him and he could get closer to her.

Persephone has Demeter beat up Ares.

After a week of secretly meeting, they kissed. Right after that, Kore realized he had a planner in his bag, meaning he could read AND write, and had taken advantage of her. After calling for her mother, the encounter ended with Demeter beating Ares with a pitchfork. Persephone initially seemed smug about this development, but it was this event that caused Demeter to restrict her alone time, and Persephone later shows regret over alerting her mother.

When they meet again in the Underworld, Persephone is seen being easily annoyed by Ares' instigation, while Ares finds her moments of anger to be interesting. He reveals that he returned from the Mortal Realm because he could sense Persephone's great rage and declaration of war and was eager to find out more. Persephone later apologizes to Ares for allowing her mother to beat him with a pitchfork. Although Ares still has a keen interest in Persephone, she tells him she is only accepting friendship at the moment.

The two form a somewhat playful relationship where he continues to flirt with her and she shots him down while the two discuss her intertest with his Uncle Hades. He later eavesdrops on Eros' phone call with Persephone and asks to speak with her, much to Aphrodite's frustrations. When Ares learns of Persephone's act of wrath, he is more impressed by her strength then shocked and is even seen later on where a pink shirt with her name on it before the trial is set.

Ares would later attend the trial with Eros and Aphrodite. During the trial, Hades brings up how the deaths of flower nymphs at the hands of humans after they trespassed Demeter's land was looked over, angering Ares as such important information was withheld from the court and further proved that Persephone did not commit her act of wrath out of cruelty or without reason.

Powers and Abilities

  • Persephone is the Goddess of Spring and is also implied to be a fertility Goddess. Mortals on the shores of Acheron assume she has the capability of blessing good health and fortune on other mortals.
  • Like her mother, she has the ability to bring spring to the Mortal Realm. Persephone can conjure flowers, plants, and even full forests regardless of the location. She's capable of creating life in Tartarus, where nothing is meant to live.
  • Persephone's hair can grow to great lengths depending on her emotional state. Once cut, the strands burst into petals. In times of stress or great emotion, a flower crown (or a crown of red thorns if angry) will materialize on her head. Occasionally, her body can grow leaves from her shoulders and hips. Her hair has been shown to be prehensile.
  • When feeling uncontrollable, strong emotions, she can cause mass blooming of flowering plants. Although it is unknown how far-reaching this ability is, it appears to encompass a wide radius.
  • She has the recently discovered capability of flight.
  • She's capable of healing the wounds of Gods and presumably mortals. Persephone is unaware of possessing this ability.
  • Persephone is able to shape-shift, first seen when she took the form of a pink butterfly to spy on Hades. Persephone is also able to spontaneously produce butterflies, although it is unknown if they are alive or just light-based illusions.
  • Persephone is proficient in wielding a scythe as a weapon.
  • Persephone is capable of augmenting her height to Titan level size. However, it was shown that she has only done this once and had no control over it due to the "feeling" taking over her powers.
  • Though Persephone cannot yet control this ability, she has been shown to be able to "curse" beings by turning them into plants. She first displays this ability when she transforms Minthe into a mint plant in a fit of rage. She is currently unable to reverse the transformation.
